# Jotpile

Jotpile is a calm notes app built natively on the Model Context Protocol
(MCP). Users connect their AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any
MCP-aware client) once, and the assistant can read, create, search, organise,
archive, and set reminders on notes directly inside their chat - no copy-paste,
no context switch.

## What makes it different

- **MCP-native.** The AI assistant the user already uses is a first-class client, not an in-app bolt-on.
- **Quiet by design.** A good editor, one-step capture, and a pile organised the way you think. No forced fields.

## Authentication for AI clients

- **Personal access tokens** - generate in Settings -> Integrations. Static bearer for local clients.
- **OAuth 2.1 with PKCE + Dynamic Client Registration** - for hosted clients (claude.ai, ChatGPT Connectors). Endpoints at /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource and /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server.
